Mr. Fred Kwasi Antwi-Boadu

Mr. Fred Kwasi Antwi-Boadu has over a decade of working experience at top management level in various industries, including banking and finance. He is a member of various professional bodies such as Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, Chartered Institute of Bankers Ghana, and Digital Finance Practitioners Ghana. His competency areas include:

  • Ethics and Corporate Governance;
  • Fisheries Governance and Regulations;
  • Consumer Protection;
  • Technology in Business; and
  • SME Financing and Marketing.

In addition to these competencies, Mr Fred Antwi-Boadu has certification in Digitizing Agriculture, Financial Inclusion: Searching for impact, Consumer Protection, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, Mobile Money Operations, Python Programming, Marketing in Emerging Markets, Product Management for FinTech, Cyber Security and Anti Money-Laundering Compliance.

Prior to his appointment as the Executive Director of the Fisheries Commission, Mr Fred Antwi-Boadu was a consultant for Project Bluemoon (Receivership) by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Mr. Fred Antwi-Boadu holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Risk Management,  Master of Business Administration in Finance and Risk Management, and Master of Arts in Ministry (Pastoral Care and Counselling).

He has been a Sunday School Teacher in the Methodist Church Ghana since 1997. He has served on the Board of Child Evangelism Fellowship Ghana as the National Board Secretary for three years and also as Vice Chairperson for four years. He is married with four children.

Mr Fred Antwi-Boadu joins the fisheries Commission with his knowledge of fisheries governance and regulations, digital Agric financing as well as his skills in managing people to help promote the fisheries subsector for economic growth and development.
